Trotro the donkey is a little gray donkey with a pretty white mane. Mischievous and enthusiastic, he always sees the bright side of things and never misses an opportunity to have fun. Today is the start of the school year, Trotro is going to school. On the way, he learns to count at the ant school, shapes at the snail school, colors at the butterfly school... he also comes across the flower school, the bird school, the cat school... Then Trotro hurries up and arrives just on time at his school. He happily finds his little friends again while his new friends arrive one by one! They will want to discover Trotro's school in turn.

Bénédicte Guettier was born in Paris. As a child, she was already drawing. A little older, she obtained the higher diploma of Applied Arts, rue Olivier-de-Serres, then two years later, that of the École supérieure d'art graphique (ESAG). Bénédicte Guettier draws and signs with the tip of her brush. She has an incisive, lanky line that belongs only to her. When Bénédicte trots in Giboulées, it gives rise to a character that has been running through her head for a long time, Trotro, the mischievous and boisterous little donkey.
