Du livre jeunesse au livre d'artiste

From children's books to artist's books

  • By Les Grandes Personnes.
  • Exhibition - collective sale from January 22 - March 27, 2021
  • Extension until July 13, 2021.
  • Original illustrations, signed proofs and pop-up books

Galerie Gallimard is pleased to welcome the artists from the Les Grandes Personnes catalogue, a publishing house founded in 2010.

Who are the artists of children's books? Talented illustrators, but not only. They are also photographers, painters, paper engineers, designers, graphic artists, engravers, and even DIY enthusiasts. They are all passionate about books, their design, their formatting, paper, colors, different printing techniques, the object. They are all researchers, trying to bring the best. There is also, often, this desire to take a small step aside, to show something that has not yet been seen, to make something beautiful, to address the intelligence and sensitivity of each of us.

This exhibition also includes works that are not intended to be reproduced in a book.

Let yourself be guided among the works of the eleven artists presented: Claire Dé, Aurélien Débat, François Delebecque, Dominique Ehrhard, Pascale Estellon, Jérémie Fischer, Henri Galeron, Bernadette Gervais, Emma Giuliani, Joëlle Jolivet, Philippe UG.
